Hello From Mr. Belardo
Hello parents and first graders! My name is Mr. Belardo ("Mr. B" for short) and I am very excited to be your first grade teacher!
My approach to teaching is simple: For me, teaching is about creating a safe environment where students can explore new material, take risks by asking questions, and ultimately learn. I also believe that learning should be fun, and as your child's teacher I will make it my goal each and every day to make school a place where your child wants to be.
I received my BA from Rutgers University and am excited to begin what will be my fifth year at Winfield!
A few fun facts about me, I have coached the middle school baseball team the last four years, one of my favorite children's books is "The Book With No Pictures," by B.J. Novak, and my favorite character is Snoopy.
